Is non-surgical rhinoplasty permissible? Question: Hi, I have a deviated septum, bent nostril where one nostril is smaller than the other. I want to get non-surgical rhinoplasty. It will straighten my nose. The filler has no Haram substance in it. It is temporary. My husband is happy for me to do it. Is it permissible? Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. If, as you say, there are no haram ingredients being utilised for the non-surgical rhinoplasty, and your intentions are simply to restore the nostrils to what one may consider a ‘normal’ appearance with the advice of a doctor, then this will be permissible to do so. If, however, there are haram ingredients being utilised, further considerations will be required before permitting the rhinoplasty.
