Hurmat al-Musaharah

Hurmat al-Musaharah Question: I have a slight dilemma. I unfortunately committed the act of masturbation one evening,  whereupon my mother asked to enter my room. Because of the sin I was engaged in, I was still in a state of arousal. She placed her hand on my leg and I’m worried that I may have felt arousal from the touch. Although mentally I had no such inclination of course. But because of the state of mind I was in has left me very confused and worried that hurmat musaharah taking place. I felt warmth from the touch but also feeling in private parts. I generally suffer a lot from waswasah and have some mild psychological problems. Please advise me I am starting to become depressed and feel like I have been punished for the evil deed I committed. Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. Hurmat al-Musaharah is not established. (1) However, continue to make sincere repentance; and see this as a sign from Allah to abstain from any unlawful practice.
